Online Desk: Freelance journalist Mir Ali rushed to the epicenter 200 miles away in Kos to gather news. He had a camera and a microphone with him.

At the risk of his life, he collected the news of the terrible earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6 and took interview of the survivors in the earthquake.

And Mir Ali shared those incidents on social media including Twitter. And the Turkish authorities are involved in that incident. He was arrested on charges of spreading fake news. Investigation is going on. If the charges are proved, this journalist may have to serve three years in prison. Apart from him, Turkish authorities have arrested three other journalists on the same charges. Press freedom groups say many more journalists are being detained and tortured to stop reporting on the earthquake.

However, the Turkish authorities have not made any official comment on this matter.
