Mahbub Alam is the new police commissioner of Gazipur
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md Mahbub Alam. A bright star fell in Gazipur district, the largest metropolis of Bangladesh.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) has been appointed as the new police commissioner DIG Md. Mahbub Alam. He has been replaced GMP Commissioner Molya Nazrul Islam.
18th batch officer of BCS police cadre Mahbub Alam’s house is in Khodedaudpur village of Homnar in Comilla. He joined the police on 25 January 1999. Before serving as DIG of APBN, he was Joint Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Intelligence Police.
He was promoted to the post of DIG in May last year. He was then made DIG of APBN. During his career, he held important posts including Joint Commissioner of Police (DB) of DMP, Superintendent of Police of Tangail and Foreign Mission. Received President Police Medal-PPM twice and Bangladesh Police Medal-BPM once in recognition of good service in the police.
In a courtesy interview this afternoon, he said a very nice saying that the purity of the mind floats in the face.
Despite being very busy, he spared his precious time to exchange greetings. He is as soft-spoken as he is strict moral.
A smiling, competent police officer like him is a blessing for Bangladesh. If we help him with verified correct information, I hope Gazipur will be known to the world as a model district.
