Dhallywood actor Mahiya Mahi on Friday submitted the nomination form of the ruling Awami League for the role of Member of Parliament (MP).
She went to the Dhanmondi office of Awami League at around 7:30pm and submitted the nomination paper to the party’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
Previously, She procured the nomination form on Thursday, for the seat of Chapainawabganj-2.
Recently, the actor began campaigning for Chapainawabganj-2, as it is her hometown.
Chapainawabganj-2 (Bholahat-Gomostapur-Nachole) seat fell vacant as a result of the BNP MP’s resignation from parliament.
The by-polls will be held in that seat on February 1.
On Thursday, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that the issue of actor Mahi’s nomination form collection has been discussed with the party’s president Sheikh Hasina.
